Just saw a story on CNN called <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/05/01/ep.avoiding.infection/index.html" rel="nofollow">"Don't let a hospital kill you"</a>
It includes tips on how to stay alive when you are in the hospital and if you have surgery scheduled.
Remember the old saying "Buyer beware", well I guess it's now "Patient beware". The only one looking our for the individual anymore is that individual themselves.

Thanks for the comment, Lee.

Yes, since I've been out of the dreaded hospital and trying to mend, I've been doing more research and finding out that the deck is stacked against you once you enter the hospital. I'm glad I left before they had a chance to make me a statistic.

The really scary thing is that the World Health Organization has done some studies that show "that hospitals in the Western world are worryingly unsafe." The report I read goes on to say that while "people [are] worried about dying on an airplane, which carried a 1-in-10 million chance of happening, they paid little regard to the astonishingly unfavorable odds of 1-in-300 of dying in hospital from a medical error." This is totally unacceptable!
NaturalNews.com has an article about "Hospitals may be hazardous to your health". If you do a Web search on the subject you will get millions of hits (from Google I got 8,460,000).
Thanks for sharing this vital information.
